It can be better and easier

Two years ago, we moved to Spain, to the Valencia region. I started working there as an estate agent and came into daily contact with people buying a second home. To enjoy it themselves, but often also with the plan to let the property out when they weren’t there.

Something struck me. When buying a property, people often talk enthusiastically about the possibilities of holiday lettings. But the amount of time, attention and organisation required to let a property properly is often underestimated.

And that was precisely the world we already knew well.

Before we moved to Valencia, we had both been active in the holiday let sector on Bonaire for many years. My experience lies mainly in the letting process itself: occupancy, pricing, bookings and guest relations. Ilse has extensive experience in cleaning and operational management, including planning, quality control and managing external contractors.

That combination has taught us that successful holiday lettings aren’t just about getting as many bookings as possible. Everything has to be just right. From the right price and good communication with guests to a property that’s clean, well-maintained and ready on time for the next stay.

That’s where the idea for Casyo came from.

We realised that holiday lettings could be managed more intelligently, more professionally and, above all, more easily. By combining our experience and local presence with smart technology, we can take a lot of the day-to-day work off owners’ hands, without them losing insight into or control over their property.

This way, a second home remains, above all, something to enjoy, rather than a second job.
